Team Ryan???

You may be sitting there thinking to yourself... Team Ryan??? Am I missing something? Are they competing somewhere? The answer is NO - not really. Years ago a friend and mentor of mine was talking about the importance of family, being a Team - we are all in this thing called life together. Together we are stronger and have purpose. We know what we stand for and why. Where we are headed. So our family discussed all of these things and formed our team.

Every day as I drove my little Elissa to school ,with baby Maddy in the back , we would discuss the importance of reaching out to kids who looked sad at school, being kind to the undeserving, respecting others. We would pray and then Elissa and I would chant (Maddy would babble along) "Who are we?" "Team Ryan" "What do we stand for?" "Jesus!"

Since the founding of "Team Ryan" circumstances have changed: schools, ages, added kiddos, jobs, areas where we are serving. One thing has remained constant and that is that we all know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. We most certainly are not the poster family for devoted followers - but we have been saved by grace and we are so THANKFUL!!!!

Today Team Ryan takes on another meaning for us as God is continually showing us how He wants us to stretch and grow in Him, how we can serve Him:

2 Timothy 4
1In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
6For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

We would not ever have planned nor have felt equipped to be doing what God has us doing these days. Isn't that the way God works though? Where we are weak He is STRONG!!! Thank ou Jesus!

Our prayer for every member of Team Ryan and evey other person we know and love is to truly understand the grace, mercy and abounding love our Heavenly Father has for us. His love knows no limits.

WANNA RACE????
